Ethos
Body Poetry was initially established to help plug the gap left by the unregulated British piercing industry which is often leaving people very ill-informed and struggling to properly care for their piercings.
I aim to help the increasing number of people whose piercings run into problems and who need to get quick, free and easy to follow advice from experts, not second hand information from peer groups.
This site aims simply to cut the crap! The piercing community as a whole can be a confusing place for someone new to the industry, with conflicting information and well meaning enthusiasts often giving out unhelpful, outdated or even mythical information! I aim to dispel those piercing myths, update the outdated and rescue those piercings in distress! To do this I have assumed nothing and written guides starting where they are most useful to you: the beginning!

The Forum
The forum here at Body Poetry is essentially a free, simple to use, piercing agony aunt service created to give people one on one advice with professional piercers. It is a place for questions not statistics - which is why membership is not required in order to post (but you are warmly welcome to join if you should wish!)
